The County Administrator is appointed by the Board of County Commissioners, and is responsible for carrying out the policies and directives of the Commission and for the development and management of the County's annual operating and capital improvement budgets.

The County Attorney’s Office is a professional law office comprehensively serving the legal needs of the Board of County Commissioners as the governing body of Manatee County.  The County Attorney’s Office also provides supervision, monitoring, and coordination of the Risk Management Division and the operation of risk management and claims administration, including workers' compensation, general and property liability and safety, and related issues, together with the administration of the self-insurance ordinance.

The Bradenton Area Convention and Visitors Bureau (BACVB) promotes Manatee County nationally and internationally as a destination for business and leisure travel.

Development Services provides information about the various Building and Land Use services that Manatee County offers.

The Financial Management department consists of the budget, fiscal and procurement divisions for Manatee County. The Budget Division manages the operating and capital improvement budgets, infrastructure sales tax revenues and conducts financial analysis for all county departments. The Fiscal Services Division provides fiscal support for the Department Directors and managers for daily operations of county initiatives. The Procurement Division oversees the purchasing for all county departments and divisions.

The Government Relations Department plays a key role in coordinating legislative efforts, strategic planning, public communications, and ensuring transparency and accessibility for the community.

Manatee County Public Works Department provides many of the basic services that affect the daily lives of everyone who lives, works, and plays in unincorporated Manatee County. Primarily, the department is responsible for the administration, planning, engineering, maintenance, and construction management of the County’s infrastructure.

The Public Safety Department works daily with citizens, elected officials and other county law enforcement and fire agencies toward these ends. The common thread among these Public Safety divisions is that they respond directly to the needs of the citizens of Manatee County, often for emergencies and sometimes for routine community services.

Sports and Leisure Services provides access to recreational and educational opportunities while remaining responsible stewards of valuable natural, historic, and cultural resources. The Utilities Department provides Potable Water (Drinking), Wastewater (Sewer), Reclaimed Water (Processed wastewater suitable for irrigation), and Solid Waste services to residences and businesses in Unincorporated Manatee County.
