Manatee Libraries

Don't have a library card? Get a temporary virtual card and start accessing ebooks, eaudiobooks and more now!

In accordance with The President’s Coronavirus Guidelines for America, which recommend avoiding gatherings of more than 10 people, Manatee County Government facilities are closed to the public for walk-in services until further notice. Library staff will continue to operate during normal business hours. Please call any of our branches or contact us through Ask a Librarian. For the latest local updates on COVID-19, text ManateeReady to 888-777 and go to mymanatee.org/coronavirus

 Please also note that:

  • All materials will be automatically renewed and due dates will be extended until April 15. All fines that accrue from now until April 15 will be waived.
  • Donations will not be accepted from now until April 15.
  • Patrons can still place holds (including ILL), but they will not be pulled and be made available until we reopen to the public.
  • Holds will still be there when we reopen.
  • Book drops will be open, but we are encouraging patrons to wait to return their library materials  (remember there are no new fines and we extended due dates!).
