The Florida Constitution established the Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller as a public trustee, independently elected to protect public funds and public records while executing the functions of Clerk of the Circuit Court, County Comptroller, Treasurer and Auditor, Clerk of the Board of County Commissioners and County Recorder.

Manatee Educational Television

Manatee County contracts the services of Manatee Educational Television to perform taping of all Board meetings and original programming.

Manatee Government Access (MGA) can be seen locally on Spectrum channel 644, Verizon channel 30 and Comcast channel 20.

The station primarily airs proceedings of the County Commission, it also features programs that highlight the programs and services Manatee County Government offers its tax-paying residents and visitors. The station is also a prime source for important information before, during and after emergencies.
