We can assist you in requesting headstones, markers, burial flags or burial in a national cemetery. We can also assist you in applying for burial reimbursement, if the Veteran qualifies. 

We may assist indigent or unclaimed veterans receive funeral services through our local national cemetery in Sarasota.

Please make an appointment to see a Veterans Services Counselor if you need assistance with burial and memorial services.

Veterans are also encouraged to make an appointment with MCVS to see if there are any other benefits from the VA for which they qualify.

Hours Available: Our lobby hours are 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. We are closed for lunch from noon-1 p.m.

Eligibility: Veterans with a general or honorable discharge are eligible for burial or markers. Burial reimbursement eligibility depends on several factors and should be discussed with a Veterans Service Counselor.
