Our Veteran Services Counselors can assist in applying for:

  • Supplemental income for lower-income, war-time era Veterans
  • Increased income to help war-time era Veterans pay for in-home care
  • Aid & Attendance allowance for war-time era Veterans in assisted living care or who have hired long-term in-home medical care

Veterans are also encouraged to make an appointment with Manatee County Veterans Services to see if there are any other benefits from the VA for which they qualify.

Hours Available: Our lobby hours are 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. We are closed for lunch from noon-1 p.m.

Eligibility:

In order to apply for this Veteran benefit program, Veterans must:

Have discharge documents, or DD214s that prove they are a veteran, and they meet the discharge requirements (honorable or general discharge, depending on the specific benefit).

Veterans must have served at least one day during a wartime era, as set by Congress. For more information or to confirm eligibility, please reach out to MCVS.

This is an income and asset-based benefit that should be discussed with a Manatee County Veterans Services Counselor to ensure qualification.
