Program provides child-based community health program that aims to create healthy habits and behavior change in children by teaching them to identify and choose healthy foods and to increase their moderate to vigorous physical activity (MVPA) each day.

Services include curriculum-specific training, technical assistance for classroom teachers and families. Practice-based coaching activities, coaching on curriculum fidelity, observation or assessment of classroom teachers and progress monitoring of children. Along with providing curriculum materials to participating early learning classrooms and families.

Service Output:

Hours Available: Morning, daytime and evening hours Monday-Friday and weekends as needed.

Manatee County resident

3-5 years old

The mission of the Early Learning Coalition of Manatee County is to provide and coordinate the services of school readiness programs, in an efficient manner, in order to help all children develop the skills needed to achieve future educational success, to support the role of parents as their child's first and most important teacher, and to continue to improve the quality of services available in the community.
