In 2017 United Way Suncoast partnered with Sarasota, Manatee Counties, and Glasser Schoenbaum to form 2-1-1 Information & Referral Services (Suncoast 211). The collaborative works with Heart of Florida United Way to ensure that information and referral services are provided to Manatee, Sarasota, and DeSoto County residents. The cooperative also employs a local community liaison from the Glasser Schoenbaum Human Service Center to support our residents and regional marketing. Suncoast 211 provides a 24-hour hotline where community members can call and get information for housing, food, clothing, mental health, utilities, education, employment, transportation, legal, and disaster assistance.
