Meet the Senior Probation team members

Jennifer B. Burgh, Probation Services Manager: Performs administrative and supervisory work related to the Probation Services Division. Duties include interacting with all facets of the Criminal Justice System clients; conducting off-site programs and making public presentations; and developing, implementing, and monitoring probation-related programs, processes, and associated reports files, and records. She supervises all division team members and programs, including misdemeanor probation, pretrial release, offender work program, pretrial intervention, victim impact panel, and special response team. Jennifer previously worked in probation at the Broward Sheriff’s Office in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

Dana L. McMahon, Chief Probation Officer: Performs a variety of administrative and supervisory tasks, as well as probationer case management. Duties include program development and maintenance, preparation of statistical and programmatic reports, supervising and evaluating Probation Officers, and maintaining a probationer caseload. She works with all facets of the Criminal Justice System, including the judiciary, public defenders, state attorneys, private attorneys, jail personnel, social service agencies in the community, drug programs, mental health agencies, various police jurisdictions, state probation, and the private sector. Dana oversees the facilitation and scheduling of the Victim Impact Panel monthly; supervises the Offender Work Program and Pretrial Intervention. Dana previously worked in probation at the Advocate Program in Miami, FL.

Michael Rogers, Chief of Pretrial Release:  Performs a variety of administrative and supervisory tasks.  Duties include program development and maintenance, preparation of statistical and programmatic reports, supervising and evaluating Probation Officers, and maintaining a pretrial release caseload. He works with all facets of the Criminal Justice System, including the judiciary, public defenders, state attorneys, private attorneys, jail personnel, social service agencies, drug programs, mental health agencies, various police jurisdictions, state probation and the private sector.  The pretrial release unit works out of two locations, one located inside the Judicial Center, the other inside the Manatee County jail.  The pretrial release unit runs 365 days per year, requiring coverage on weekends and holidays along with 24-hour coverage of defendants ordered onto GPS monitoring.  Michael previously worked a career in Law Enforcement.
