NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to Section 190.046 and Section 125.66, Florida Statutes,
that the Manatee County Board of County Commissioners will hold a Public Hearing on March
25, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. (or as soon thereafter as may be heard), located on the first floor of
the Manatee County Administrative Center, 1112 Manatee Avenue West, Bradenton, Florida, to

consider and act upon the following matter:

ORDINANCE 25-23
AN ORDINANCE OF MANATEE COUNTY, FLORIDA,
PERTAINING TO PUBLIC CAMPING OR SLEEPING;
CREATING ARTICLE I OF CHAPTER 2-21 OF THE
MANATEE COUNTY CODE OF ORDINANCES;
ADDRESSING APPLICABILITY; PROVIDING FOR
ENFORCEMENT AND PENALTIES; PROVIDING FOR
CODIFICATION; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND

PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Copies of Ordinance NO. 25-23 may be inspected by the public during normal business hours in
the Office of the County Attorney, 1112 Manatee Avenue West, Suite 969, Bradenton, Florida.
Interested parties may appear at the meeting or public hearing and be heard with respect to the
proposed ordinance. In accordance with Section 286.0105, Florida Statutes, if any person
decides to appeal any decision made with respect to any matters considered at such meeting or
hearing, that person will need a record of the proceedings, and for such purpose, that person may
need to assure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record would include
any testimony or evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
Summary of Ordinance and Statement of Public Purpose: In accordance with Section
125.0231, Florida Statutes, this ordinance prohibits any person(s) from regularly engaging in
public camping or sleeping on any public property under the jurisdiction of the County. The
ordinance provides a definition of public camping and sleeping, while also providing exceptions
to the ordinance. The ordinance also outlines the procedures for reporting violations, the
enforcement, and the penalties for non-compliance.
Business Impact Estimate: The County does not expect businesses to incur Direct Compliance
Costs, no new charges or fees associated with Ordinance adoption.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to Manatee County Resolution No. R-20-153 and Section 125.66, Florida Statutes, that the Board of County Commissioners of Manatee County, Florida, (Board) will conduct a public hearing on the 25th day of March, 2025 at 9:00 A.M. or as soon thereafter in the Honorable Patricia M. Glass Chambers on the First Floor of the Manatee County Government Administrative Center, located at 1112 Manatee Avenue West, Bradenton, Florida, 34205, to consider, act upon, adopt, or reject the following resolution:

RESOLUTION NO. R-25-025

A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MANATEE COUNTY, FLORIDA, REGARDING NAMING A PUBLIC FACILITY; NAMING COURT 1 “BOB DAVIS COURT” AT C.V. WALTON RACQUET CENTER; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

The proposed resolution may be inspected by the public during normal business hours in the office of the Sports and Leisure Services Department, 5502 33rd Avenue Drive West, Bradenton, Florida. Interested parties may appear at the public hearing and be heard with respect to the proposed resolution.
According to Section 286.0105, Florida Statutes, if any person decides to appeal any decision made by the Board with respect to any matter to be considered at the meeting or hearing, he/she will need a record of the proceedings and for such purpose, he/she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record would include any testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
