Ft. Hamer Park may only span 7.3 acres, but it’s packed with fun along the scenic Manatee River. Host a gathering at the pavilion, launch your boat from the ramp for a day on the water, or join the Manatee County You Rowing Program to make the most of this riverside gem!
Manatee County Rowing
Manatee County Youth Rowing, Inc. is a community based, not for profit organization located at the Manatee County Fort Hamer Boathouse Facility. Their mission is to provide rowing programs in a positive and competitive environment for middle and high school ages. No experience required! Masters Rowing Program
Not just for Youth! Ages 21 and older - experience and knowledge of rowing is not required. Both Competitive and Recreational Rowing programs are offered.
Long Skinny Boat Camp
Middle school and high school students! Have a blast this summer getting wet, staying active, and learning a lifelong skill. Full-day and half-day summer camps are available for 6th to 12th graders.

Sunrise to SunsetPavilion includes 4 tables (1 ADA accessible) which seats 32, one small grill. A kayak launch with fishing pier to the river are nearby and open to the public. Park gates will not be unlocked for closer access to the pavilion. Water spigots are not for public use. Any additional set up of tables, tents, food trucks, or other vendors, etc. is prohibited without a special event permit. No Electric.
