MANATEE COUNTY, FL (Nov. 21, 2019) – Manatee County Government offices will be closed Thursday and Friday next week for Thanksgiving.

Garbage, yard waste and recycling in unincorporated areas are postponed one day on Thanksgiving Day. The regular schedule resumes Monday, Dec. 2.

MCAT fixed route, Handy Bus, and Longboat Key Shuttle services will not be available on Thanksgiving Day but resume on Friday.

Manatee County public libraries will be closed for Thanksgiving from Thursday through Sunday, resuming a normal weekly schedule on Monday. Downtown Central, Island & Rocky Bluff libraries will close at 6 p.m. Wed., Nov 27.

On the days government offices are closed public parks, preserves and beaches remain open to the public. Manatee County and Buffalo Creek golf courses will close at noon Thursday. The John H. Marble pool will be closed on Thursday and Friday. G.T. Bray Recreation Center is closed Thursday and Friday.
