Manatee County offices closed Thursday, Friday for Thanksgiving

MANATEE COUNTY, FL (Nov. 19, 2018) – Manatee County Government offices will be closed Thursday and Friday this week for Thanksgiving.

Garbage, yard waste and recycling are suspended for one day on Thanksgiving Day. The regular schedule resumes Monday, Nov. 26.

MCAT fixed route, Handy Bus, and Longboat Key Shuttle services will not be available on Thanksgiving Day but resume on Friday.

Manatee County public libraries will be closed for Thanksgiving from Thursday through Sunday, resuming a normal weekly schedule on Monday. Downtown Central, Island & Rocky Bluff libraries will close at 6 p.m. on Wed., Nov 21.

On the days government offices are closed public parks, preserves and beaches remain open to the public. Manatee County and Buffalo Creek golf courses will remain open throughout the holidays.

G.T. Bray Recreation Center is closed Thursday and Friday.
