MANATEE COUNTY, FL (Dec. 7, 2018) — As part of its commitment to producing theatrical presentations of the works of some of the greatest authors and playwrights in history and offering unique theater experiences, Powel Crosley Theater recently announced the return of its popular holiday productions and a new show planned for 2019, all taking place at the historic Powel Crosley Estate

Next week Crosley Theater invites guests to experience the warmth and joy of the holidays with A Classic Crosley Christmas — while immersing themselves in the historic glamor of the estate — as they move from room to room to experience the festive evening of theater, traditional carols and tales.

This year’s shows includes multiple vignettes: The Gift of the Magi, Belle’s Story, and A Visit from Saint Nick. Following the shows, guests will join the theater groups’ talented cast in an interactive version of A Christmas Carol. All shows run Dec. 11-14, 18-21 at 7:30 p.m., with additional shows December 13-14 and 20-21 at 2 p.m. and Dec. 23 at 7:30 p.m.

2019's An Improv to Murder includes multiple vignettes: Murder by Six Degrees of Murder, Murder by Death, Murder by Musicals and more crime solving capers, all of which invite guests to follow characters gathering clues as they solve an interactive murder mystery taking place throughout the estate. Show times are Jan. 15-18 and 22-27 at 7:30 p.m. with additional 2 p.m. showtimes on Jan. 17-18 and 24-27.

Tickets to Crosley Theater are available for sale via the Manatee Performing Arts Center's box office or at tickets.manateeplayers.com. For more information, visit bradentongulfislands.com/crosley-theater

The Crosley Estate offers free on-site parking. Handicap accessible parking is also available. Limited concessions (such as wine, coffee, other non-alcoholic beverages and popcorn) are offered at each performance.

About the Powel Crosley Estate

Built in 1929 for Powel Crosley's wife, Gwendolyn. The Mediterranean Revival-style mansion, named "Seagate" is situated directly on the water, features a circular tower and a carriage house in addition to the main building and is on the National Register of Historic Places. Its architecture pays tribute to a bygone era, but the estate has the modern amenities that allow it to successfully host meetings, weddings, holiday parties and other events.
