ATTENTION IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: as of October 5 2018 G.T. Bray Aquatics center will be closed for maintenance and repairs. these repairs require the pool motors be shut down making it impossible to have the facility be operational. The facility may be closed for up to 6 weeks. we are currently working to get the facility operational as soon as possible. Until the facility is operational we have expanded our hours for our John Marble Facility (Monday-Friday 7a-3p effective October 7th 2018)

The recreational pool is shaded to provide comfort from the summer sun, and the kiddie pool, located directly next to the splash pad, has a stepped entry for family members to sit and watch over their youngsters.

The 3,000 square foot splash park offers many different engaging and stimulating spray features, such as tumble buckets that dump water onto those who stand underneath its stream, a mushroom with a continuous curtain of cascading water, and many ground sprays that deliver refreshing springs of water, to entice patrons of all ages.

  • Children 14 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult, 18 years or older.
  • The pool may close for inclement weather.
    • The entry fee applies to everyone entering the facility (No fee for infants up to 6 months of age).

    Large Groups Welcome - Have Fun and be Safe!

    To ensure plenty of staff are working when your group visits the pool, we encourage groups of 20 or larger to schedule at least one week prior by sending an email request to steve.munyer@mymanatee.org . The group must present an email confirmation from Manatee County upon entering the facility. For additional information, please call the G.T. Bray Recreation Center at (941) 742-5923. 

    POOL FEES

    Daily Fee:  $2.00 (includes tax)

    (No fee for infants up to 6 months of age)

    POOL RENTAL

    Pool rental is available from May to September on Saturdays and Sundays, 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. or  4:30 - 6:30 p.m.  Rental reservations must be made in advance and payment is due at that time.  Lifeguards are on duty at all times. 

    Facility Rental

    Rental of the splash pad and the recreational swimming pool includes the adjacent pavilion with picnic tables. 

    Resident/Social Fee: $60/hour
    Commercial  Fee: $125/hour

    • WHEN IS THE WILLIE J. "BRO" CLEMONS, JR. POOL OPEN?

      The Willie J. "Bro" Clemons, Jr. Pool is a seasonal facility that is opened over Spring Break and during the summer while school is not in session.

    • ARE FOOD AND BEVERAGES PERMITTED WITHIN THE FACILITY?

      Yes.  Food and drinks are permitted within the facility however they must be consumed in the designated concession area.

    • ARE SWIM SUITS REQUIRED?

      Yes, proper swimming attire is required of all guests entering any of our pools.  Street clothes, long pants, undergarments, thong bathing suits and see through bathing suits are strictly prohibited.

    • DO INFANTS HAVE TO WEAR A SWIM DIAPER?

      Yes, swim diapers are required for all infants and children who are not toilet trained.  They are available to purchase for a nominal cost at the front desk.  Children wearing regular diapers are not permitted in any of our pools.

    • WHY CAN’T I DO WHATEVER I WANT TO WHEN I COME IN?

      Even though the Willie J. "Bro" Clemons, Jr. Pool is designed as a place to have fun and socialize, there are rules that must be followed for the safety of the patrons.  This includes no running, no diving in undesignated areas, no horseplay and any other unsafe behavior.  Lifeguards are present during all times that the facility is open to enforce the rules and maintain safety and order.
