COVID-19 Phase 1 Operations: June 8

Hours 

  •  Monday - Friday, 12 noon - 6 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday, 12 noon - 4 p.m.

Lap Swimming ONLY.

  •  All swimmers must stand 6 ft. apart while waiting. When the 45-minute swim time is over, all swimmers must exit the pool deck and leave through the turnstile to keep all patrons at an acceptable distance.
  • 1 swimmer, per every other lane, by reservation only.
  • Swimmers allowed to reserve a lane for 45 minutes by calling up to 2 days in advance. 
  • For reservations, call (941) 720-1775.
  • Pay $3 cash when arriving for swim time. 
  • All pool deck furniture will be removed from the pool deck, during this phase.
  • We will be closing and sanitizing our locker rooms every 45 minutes, for 15 minutes, so all patrons must use the locker rooms during the 45-minute reservation time.

COOVID-19 Phase 2 Operations:  June 15

  • 1 swimmer, every lane, by reservation only.
  • All lap swimming reservation guidelines from Phase 1, will continue.
  • Picnic tables and pool deck furniture still blocked off from use.
  • For reservations, call (941) 720-1775.
  • Pay $3 cash when arriving for swim time.
  • We will be closing and sanitizing our locker rooms every 45 minutes, for 15 minutes, so all patrons must use the locker rooms during the 45-minute reservation time.

COOVID-19 Phase 3 Operations: TBD 

  • lap swimming reservations will continue with swimmers making reservations up to 2 days in advance.
  • wing section will be available for 45-minute reservations, up to 10 people per household.
  • All participants involved with the family reservation must follow our guidelines and leave the pool deck after the 45-minute reservation has ended.
  • For reservations, call (941) 720-1775.
  • Pay $3 cash when arriving for swim time.
  • We will be closing and sanitizing our locker rooms every 45 minutes, for 15 minutes, so all patrons must use the locker rooms during the 45-minute reservation time.

Swim Lessons

Fees

Daily Guest Pass: $3 per individual (includes tax)
Includes: pool, gymnasium, fitness center, wellness orientation, game-room/teen center, racquetball, tennis (hard courts only), and pickleball.

Recreation Membership: $25 per month per individual. 
Includes all of the above, plus selected exercise classes and Child Watch.

Rules and Warnings

  • Pool closes for heavy rain, thunder, and lightning.
  • The pool may close for predicted serious storm condition weather.
    All children under 14 years old must be accompanied by a responsible adult over the age of 18.
  • No inflatable flotation devices allowed in any pool (water wings, pool floats, noodles, etc.)
  • The entry fee applies to everyone entering the facility, NO exceptions, except no fee for infants up to 6 months of age.
  • Anyone needing a life-jacket must have an adult in the water with them at all times, always within arms reach.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are swim suits required?

Yes, proper swimming attire is required of all guests entering any of our pools. Street clothes, long pants, undergarments, thong bathing suits, and see through bathing suits are strictly prohibited.

Do infants have to wear a swim diaper?

Yes, swim diapers are required for all infants and children who are not toilet trained. They are available to purchase for a nominal cost at the front desk. Children wearing regular diapers are not permitted in any of our pools.

What types of flotation devices are allowed?

We allow all Coast Guard Approved life jackets at our facility. Inflatables, water wings and pool noodles are prohibited. The Aquatic Center does not provide life jackets.

At what age may children be allowed to swim at the pool without adult supervision?

Children 11 years and older may be left unattended at the Aquatic Center.

Do individuals who are not swimming need to pay the for the daily guest pass?

Yes, our fee is an entrance fee to the G.T. Bray Recreation Center, not a swimming fee and therefore all those entering the center must be accounted for by paying the fee.

Do you have equipment available for use?

The facility has kick boards, pull buoys and fins available for use by lap swimmers. All personal equipment such as bathing suits, towels, goggles, caps and sunscreen must be brought in by the individual.

Can coolers be brought into the facility?

Yes, coolers may be brought into the Aquatic Center, however all food and beverage must be consumed in the designated concession area. Glass bottles and alcohol beverages are prohibited. Vending machines are available within the complex.

Are lockers available?

Yes, a limited number of lockers are available.
