Residential Solid Waste Pickup Schedule
Manatee County currently maintains solid waste and recycling franchise agreements with Waste Management and Waste Pro for the pickup and removal of solid waste, Yard Waste and recyclable materials for single-family and multi-family homes in the unincorporated area of Manatee County.
Residential household waste is collected twice per week: either every Monday/Thursday, or Tuesday/Friday. Please view the map to determine your garbage collection days. The Manatee County Lena Road Landfill is closed for major holidays.

Recycling Pickup Schedule
Curbside collection of recycling items is once per week on one of your regular household or garden trash pickup days. Each residence is issued two (2) blue containers to be used for recycling: one for paper and cardboard, another for co-mingled materials (cans, glass, plastic, etc.). Please view the map for your scheduled recycling pickup day.

Household Hazardous Waste and E-Scrap
You may bring your Household Hazardous Waste and E-Scrap materials to the Lena Road Landfill on the 3rd Saturday of each month from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Manatee County businesses wishing to dispose of large amounts of E-Scrap materials should call 941-798-6761 for more information. You may place your E-Scrap curbside, however there is a fee for this service and you must schedule the pickup by calling 941-792-8811.

Yard Waste Pickup Schedule
All Yard Waste is picked up Wednesdays. Yard waste placed not more than three (3) feet from the road or curb will be collected once a week between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Community Cleanup Schedule
Through the Quality Communities Team, certain neighborhoods have been targeted for additional cleanup activities. These Community Cleanups are scheduled each year. Please note that we do not accept any hazardous waste during these events; hazardous waste includes oil, gas, paint, household chemicals, etc. Please take all hazardous waste to the Lena Road Landfill on the third Saturday of each month.

Collection services are not provided on many of the annual holidays. The following information provides the schedule followed by Manatee County on rescheduling the collection days.
Any applicable holiday occurring during regular collection days will result in collections taking place one day later for the remaining days that week. Regular collection days resume the following Monday. If the holiday occurs on a weekend, no changes will take place to the garbage collection schedule for that week.
Example: Thanksgiving falls on Thursday each year. Any regularly scheduled pickup for that Thursday will occur the next day, Friday, and Friday's pickup will occur on Saturday. Normal pickup days will resume the next Monday.
