Manatee County Solid Waste Division
The Solid Waste Division of the Utilities Department manages solid waste material at the Manatee County Landfill in an environmentally safe manner.
Garbage service is provided to 94,000 accounts in unincorporated Manatee County and the Landfill manages over 273,000 tons of material annually. This division also plans for and implements alternative future disposal methods for the County and develops and manages a program for the identification and proper disposal of Household Hazardous Waste. The recycling division promotes recycling through education and special events.
