  • The blue recycling containers are for recyclable items ONLY. Please do not use containers for your household garbage or Yard Waste.
  • When moving from one residence to another, please leave your recycling containers with the home. If your new home is located in Manatee County, there should be recycling containers there for your use. If there are none, please contact the Manatee County Utilities Customer Service Department at: 941-792-8811, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., with the exception of holidays.
  • Currently, plastic bags are not collected as recyclable items; however, most grocery stores will accept your plastic grocery bags back for recycling purposes.
  • Please direct all calls concerning missed pickups for household garbage, yard waste, and recycling to the Manatee County Utilities Customer Service at 941-792-8811, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., with the exception of holidays.
  • Metal clothes hangers can be returned to the dry cleaners.
  • Packing Peanuts can be returned to the shipping stores.
