Hauled Waste Program Overview
Under the Industrial Compliance Section, the Hauled Waste Program is intended to provide an environmentally safe means for the disposal of domestic septage, chemical toilet waste, and grease trap/interceptor waste for businesses involved in the transport and disposal of such wastes. Authority to operate the Hauled Waste Program is established in Section 6 of Manatee County’s most current Sewer Use Ordinance. Domestic waste generated within Manatee County from septic tanks, temporary domestic holding tanks, portable toilets, and restaurant grease traps/interceptors are the only acceptable wastes for discharge to the facilities. Wastewaters produced by any type of industrial or manufacturing process are not covered under the Hauled Waste Program. Wastes generated outside of Manatee County are not accepted.
