Bike Racks on Buses and Trolleys
Information on the proper way to load and unload your bicycle.
Loading
Only single seat, two-wheeled bikes, 16" and up will fit on the rack. Lower the rack located in the front of the bus. Lift your bike onto the rack, fitting wheels into the slots. Each slot is labeled for front and rear wheels. If only one bike is being loaded, put it in the position nearest the bus. Swing the bike support arm up and into position over the front wheel and as far back as possible. Make sure the support arm is resting on the tire and not on the frame or fender. A spring pulls the arm back and holds the bike securely.
Unloading
Notify the bus operator that you are going to remove your bike and exit through the front door of the bus. From the curb side, remove the bike by releasing the support arm from the front tire, then lift the bike out of the rack. Return the rack to its upright position.
