We maintain the telephone and radio systems used by the County. These systems handle the day-to-day needs of our office and field staff, provide a means of emergency dispatch and notification, and automatically handle some questions concerning County business.

We provide support to the 911 Computer Automated Dispatch (CAD) system. This system handles and routes incoming emergency calls.

 

The County maintains a reverse telephone notification system that alerts responders in the event of a disaster. This system can also phone all citizens within a specified geographic area to alert them of an emergency.

 

A number of Interactive Voice Response (IVR) systems allow citizens to retrieve information via their phones. These include Citizen's Action, Permitting, and Utilities. Internally, these systems also handle staffing schedules for Public Safety and other departments.

 

We provide County-wide radio coverage and Blackberry service for designated field officers, inspectors, and staff.
