Dogs and Cats Available for Adoption

Pet adoptions are processed on a first come basis and it is possible that an animal listed may already be adopted when you visit the shelter. Feel free to call 941-742-5933 with the animal ID number to find out the current status of animal.

The adoption fee for dogs is $80. Cats are $60. Special promotional fees are offered throughout the year. This fee does not include the required Manatee County License Certificate and Tag for Manatee County residents.

Cats Come in Pairs! Adopt two cats for the price of one!

55 for $55! If you are 55 years of age and older, the adoption fee for a dog or cat is $55.00!

Build A Family! Adopt a pet at the regular adoption fee, then adopt additional pets

for $10.00 each, dog or cat, mix or match!

Ask about our Build A Family Starter Certificate! Purchase a gift certificate to give the recipient their choice of any dog or cat available for adoption!

The following services are included in the adoption fee:

Surgical Spaying or Neutering (Sterilization)
Vaccinations for Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parainfluenza, Bordatella (kennel cough) and Parvovirus
Occult Heartworm Test for adult dogs
Parvovirus testing for all puppies
Initial deworming for internal parasites
Rabies Vaccination
Electronic Animal Identification Device (Microchip), which provides permanent and unalterable identification.
