Property Acquisition Process

• The County notifies the Property Owner of intent to
purchase property.

• Property value is determined by an independent real
estate appraiser.

• The County submits a written offer to the Property
Owner and will negotiate to try to reach a mutually
acceptable agreement.

• Once an agreement on the property price is reached,
and the Board of County Commissioners approve, the real estate closing is scheduled.
