Safe Kids Worldwide is a global network of organizations whose mission is to prevent accidental childhood injury, a leading killer of children 14 and under.
The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office remains dedicated to providing the highest standard of service to our residents and visitors. We believe that community involvement is vital to the success of “your” Sheriff’s Office. Wherever possible, we will seek the vital input and assistance of our residents and businesses and take a proactive approach in solving your neighborhood issues.

  Due to a variety of barriers, some Latinos and their families may be unable to advocate for themselves and need the help of community organizations and individuals to assist them in improving their quality of life. The Latino Community Network was established to address some of these barriers.
  Suncoast Center for Independent Living (SCIL) provides a variety of programs and services to help individuals with disabilities to achieve their greatest possible level of independence.
 
  Project Light of Manatee, Inc. is a literacy center located at 1104 14th Street in Bradenton, Florida. Their mission is to serve the people in Manatee County who need help learning to read, write and speak English.
 
  VOLUNTEER Manatee believes that strengthening Manatee County through volunteerism and service is a way of life. Now, more than ever, Floridians of all ages are ready to answer the call and lend a hand in their local communities.

  The mission of the Central Economic Development Center (CEDC) is to combat community deterioration and prevent the causes thereof by assisting local residents develop and grow small businesses; by developing an environment where businesses will want to locate within the community; and where community residents will have the resources needed to ensure an improved quality of life.
  Whole Child Manatee is a community-wide effort to get our children off to the best start in life by ensuring they have everything they need to thrive.
  With the goals of rehabilitation and economic development of neglected and blighted neighborhoods, the City of Bradenton created the CCRA in July 2000. The CCRA’s targeted areas are between 6th Street West and 27th Street East.  With the creation of the CCRA, the City of Bradenton also demonstrated its commitment to the HOPE VI Bradenton Village project.
  Created in December 2002, the Community Redevelopment Plan (CRP) charts a course for community redevelopment in the 14th Street West CRA over the next 40 years. It is guided by community input and vision, supported by findings from data and analysis, is approved for implementation by the Manatee County Planning Commission, and has been adopted by the Manatee County Board of County Commissioners and the 14th Street Community Redevelopment Agency.
