Manatee County Public Library System
The Manatee County Library System has six locations to serve the public. It is a full service library system and has a collection which includes books, periodicals, newspapers, video and audio materials and more. It also has a full range of activities and meeting rooms available for public use. [more]
The Island Branch Library is undergoing extensive renovations and will be closed from May 1, 2012 until further notice. (A re-opening date has not been set.)
Patrons of the Island Library may utilize any of the other five library locations in the Library System --the most convenient to the Island Branch are the South Manatee Branch Library (6081 26th Street West, Bradenton), and the Central Library (1301 Barcarrota Boulevard West) in downtown Bradenton.
