Environmental Complaint Report Form

Use this form to report an environmental concern directly to the Natural Resources Department's Environmental Protection Division for investigation. We investigate complaints on surface water quality, stormwater system pollution, fish kills, algae blooms, residuals landspreading, erosion and sedimentation control, petroleum spills, waste handling and some wetland issues. We also investigate complaints within the scope of our delegated programs or established by County ordinance such as our local stormwater ordinance or Land Development Code. We do not investigate air quality complaints or those involving human health which require a medical professional's opinion. Finally, although this information goes directly to the Environmental Protection Division, in many cases a complaint requires the coordinated attention of several County departments. The most effective way to report a complaint is by calling the Manatee County Citizens Action Center at (941) 748-HELP(4357).
