Citizens Review Program
Program provides citizen review panels made up of four trained community volunteers, which hold semi-formal hearings to review Juvenile Dependency cases of abused, neglected, or abandoned children placed in out of home care under protective supervision. Each panel meets monthly to take testimony in hearings from all involved parties to determine if the child is safe, holding all parties accountable for performing court ordered tasks. Keeping the best interest of the child first, panels make findings of fact and recommendations which are compiled in a report and provided to the Juvenile Court Judge.
