Apply For Building Permit
Use our Online Permitting System to apply for a permit.
To use the Online Permitting System you must be a Registered User. If you would like to use the online permitting system and you are a registered building contractor or permit service, you must fill out the current Web Page Authorized Agent Form.
The form should be filled out with the contractor's information and the name and email address of each person that will be using the system on behalf of the contractor. The form is signed by the contractor and either faxed or brought back to the Building Department to be kept on file. All contractors must be registered with the Building Department. Licenses, insurance and business operating fee MUST be up to date.
All permit fees except those paid to their respective fire departments can be paid online.
Permit applications can still be submitted in person at 1112 Manatee Avenue West, Bradenton, FL 34205. The Building Deparment is located on the 4th floor of the Administration Building.
Building permits are classified either as commercial or residential. Within each category there are permit sub-types with specific requirements, applications/forms.
Contractors must be registered with Manatee County Contractor Licensing before applying for a permit.
