Building and Development Services
The department provides planning, zoning, building and code enforcement assistance to citizens and developers in Manatee County. We are open 8:00 AM until 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, however, Permitting closes at 4:00 pm. We are located on the 2nd and 4th floors of the County Administration Building (1112 Manatee Ave West, Bradenton). Metered parking is available in parking garage located on 10th Street West off Manatee Avenue.
What we offer
The Building Department is responsible for the safety and welfare of the general public by ensuring that the review and inspection of permitted activity is in compliance with the Florida Building Code, State Statutes, and local ordinances.

Transportation Planning is responsible for the analysis and development of the County's thoroughfare roadway system, review of all development proposals regarding transportation-related issues, management of the County's transportation concurrency tracking system, and development of the County's transportation modeling network.
