Manatee County offices closed in observance of Veterans Day
MANATEE COUNTY, FL (Nov. 8, 2010) – Manatee County Government offices will be closed Thursday, Nov. 11 in observance of Veterans Day.
Collections for garbage, recycling and yard waste in unincorporated Manatee County will operate as usual. The Lena Road Landfill will be open, but other Utilities offices are closed.
All Manatee County libraries will also be closed.
Manatee County parks, beaches and public golf courses will be open regular hours. The G.T. Bray Recreation Center will be open for Youth Camps, Fitness Center and tennis from 7 a.m. until - 6 p.m.. The Aquatics Center (pools) will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The gymnasium and Skate Park will be open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Manatee County’s publicly owned natural preserves will remain open.
Manatee County Area Transit fixed route and Paratransit operations, the Anna Maria Island Trolley and Longboat Key Trolley will operate on Veterans Day but the Beach Express will not.
