Manatee County invites public to 9th annual Tour of Lights, Dec. 16 - 19
MANATEE COUNTY, FL (Dec. 10, 2010) –Manatee County’s 9th annual Tour of Lights will be held next week. Admission requires only a non-perishable food item or unwrapped, unused children’s gift.
Manatee County Area Transit will host the popular Tour of Lights next Thursday, Dec. 16 through Sunday, Dec. 19. Riders need only bring a non-perishable food item or unwrapped toy for admission. The food will be donated to local social service networks and the toys will be given to the Toys for Tots program.
Seating is limited and will be offered on a first come, first served basis. Passengers should arrive no later than 6:30 p.m. and should be ready for departure at one of two park and ride locations at 6:45 p.m.:

“We never know how many to expect, but for the past few years we’ve been averaging between 1,500 and 2,000 people during the event,” said Mark Betti, MCAT Transit Operations Superintendent.
