Line break repaired, restoring phone & cell service in Myakka, East Manatee
MANATEE COUNTY, FL (May 27, 2011) – Verizon has repaired a major line break restoring land line and cell phone service for an estimated 3,600 customers in Myakka and eastern Manatee County.
Manatee County Emergency Communications Center reports that all Myakka and East Manatee residents can resume using 9-1-1 in the event of an emergency. Only call 9-1-1 if you have a police, fire, or medical emergency. In non-emergency situations, call (941) 747-3011.
In the event phone service is lost and someone with an emergency cannot dial 9-1-1, the Emergency Communications Center advises that you should seek help at the nearest fire department.
