The event will be held Friday, Dec. 9 from noon to 4 p.m. in the courtyard of the Historic Courthouse at 1115 Manatee Ave. West. Several local groups will perform for 30 minute intervals at the following times:

• A Victorian Christmas at the Crosley at 12:15 p.m.
• St. Stephens Episcopal School Choir at 1 p.m.
• Salvation Army Band Quartet at 1:45 p.m.

• Manatee School for the Arts at 2:45 p.m.
• Gulf Coast Sandpiper Barbershop Chorus at 3:30 p.m.

“We’re hoping as many downtown employees and residents will join us to relax and enjoy the magic of holiday carols being sung, partake in food, drinks, and crafts,” Neri said. “They’ll have a good time and they’ll be making a difference in our community.”

Several groups will be on site selling hamburgers and hot dogs and popcorn, and others selling holiday crafts. Manatee County Animal Services will bring several animals available for adoption. There will also be a basket raffle.

Each year Manatee County employees donate more than $100,000 to United Way of Manatee County.
