Manatee County Animal Services offers back-to-school special for pet adoptions throughout August
MANATEE COUNTY, FL (July 26, 2011) – Manatee County Animal Services is getting the back-to-school fever by offering a “buy one, get one free” adoption event throughout the month of August.
Adopt a dog or cat at the regular adoption fee and get a second dog or cat at no charge. Mix or match, it makes no difference. The offer is good Monday, August 1, 2011 through Wednesday, August 31. The regular adoption fee is $80 for dogs and $60 for cats.
"We have a variety of dogs and cats,” said Animal Services Chief Kris Weiskopf. “I am sure we have one or more that will fit right into your family. You can stop looking for that new family member, because you have found us."
This adoption special is another step in the County’s plan to become a no-kill community.
The special is available at both Animal Services locations: in Palmetto, 305 25th St. W. (open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.) and in Bradenton, 1002 B., Manatee Ave. W., (open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.). Preview available animals by visiting www.mymanatee.org/pets
