Manatee County accepting applications for Animal Services Advisory Board
MANATEE COUNTY, FL (Jan. 13, 2012) – Manatee County has one opening for a citizens advisory committee that makes recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners on animal issues. The Advisory Board is playing a critical role in Manatee County’s efforts to become a no kill community.
The Animal Services Advisory Board considers reports and presentations in order to advise and make recommendations to the Board in all matters involving Manatee County Animal Services and related issues in which the Board has lawful jurisdiction.
The vacancy is for an at-large position, so any Manatee County resident may apply. The group meets on the second Wednesday of every other month at 5:45 p.m. at Manatee County Animal Services, 305 25th Street West, Palmetto.
The term for this appointment will expire July 31, 2014.
