Personal

Commissioner Hayes is originally from North Hills, a suburb of Pittsburgh, Pa. and has been a resident of Florida since 1976. She moved to Manatee County in 1980. She is founder, president and general agent of Hayes Gailey Insurance, Inc. Donna has a son, daughter, stepson and four grandchildren. After 26 years of marriage to the late Terry Hayes, Commissioner Hayes became widowed in 2006.

Education

• Donna attended Juniata College, University of Pittsburgh and The American College, receiving the Chartered Underwriter (CLU) designation.
• She also holds the Life Underwriters Training Council Fellowship (LUTCF) and Certified Senior Advisor (CSA) designation.
