Unlicensed Construction Activities Panel

Purpose

This board shall be empowered to fine and penalize those who engage in contracting activities without being properly licensed. This panel shall also hear appeals from cited individuals for unlicensed construction activities.

Membership Requirements

  • This board shall consist of five members, two of whom shall be licensed building trades contractors actively engaged in such work, in accordance with ordinance 94-34;
  • All members who are contractors must have at least 5 years experience;
  • All terms shall be for periods of four years with terms ending October 14th of the appropriate year. Unless four years has past since serving on UCAP, no person shall be appointed to UCAP for more than two four year terms and no person who has served more than two years of a term shall be appointed for more than one additional term.

Meetings

Meetings are held the 2nd Monday of each month at 2:30 p.m. in the commission chambers on the first floor of the Manatee County Administrative Center.
