South County Community Redevelopment Agency Advisory Board
Purpose
The purpose and duties of the Advisory Board shall include, but not be limited to the following: to consider and make recommendations to the Agency concerning the Redevelopment Plan and amendments to the Redevelopment Plan; to review the proposed annual work program for the Redevelopment Area, make recommendations to the Agency concerning such program and its implementation, and recommend project priorities to the Agency; to recommend incentives to further the redevelopment efforts in the Redevelopment Area and carry out and effectuate the purposes and provisions of the Redevelopment Act; to consider any matters referred to the Advisory Board by the Agency; and to receive comments from members of the public interested in redevelopment of the Redevelopment Area and report such information to the Agency.
Membership Requirements
- The Advisory Board shall consist of a minimum of five and a maximum of 15 members who shall be appointed by the Board;
- To the extent possible, all members of the Advisory Board shall reside, work or own property within the boundaries of the Redevelopment Area and have demonstrated knowledge of the Redevelopment Area and the forces affecting the Redevelopment Area;
- Terms are for three years.
Meetings
Usually meets monthly on the second Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at the Harllee Full Service School. No meetings are held in July or December.
