Senior Advisory Board

Purpose

It shall be the mission of the Senior Advisory Board to evaluate, monitor and discuss existing and proposed policies and issues pertaining to the aging population at the local, state and federal levels, in order to most effectively advocate on behalf of the elder population of our community.

Membership Requirements

  • The Advisory Board will be made up of nine members;
  • Each single district commissioner shall appoint a member from their district and each at-large commissioner shall appoint a member from the community at large, and two members shall be appointed by the County Administrator and/or his designee;
  • Membership shall be limited in the following manner: each member shall be a citizen of at least 50 years of age and each member shall reside in Manatee County.

Meetings

Meetings are the fourth Wednesday of every other month at 3:00 p.m. in 903 Conference Room.
