Nuisance Abatement Board

Purpose

The Nuisance Abatement Board is empowered to shut down facilities or houses where three or more complaints are made over a six-month period regarding prostitution, drugs or gang activity. Five persons shall serve on this panel. The Nuisance Abatement Board shall conduct hearings and enter orders to abate nuisances as defined located within the geographic bounds of unincorporated in Manatee County.

 

 

 

Membership Requirements

  • The Manatee County Nuisance Abatement Board consists of five voting members;
  • Initial appointments will be two members for a one year term and three members for a two years terms. Subsequent terms will be for two years.
