Myakka Fire Control District Board of Commissioners

Purpose

The Board of County Commissioners shall have the authority to adopt ordinances, rules and regulations for fire safety and protection. The board also has authority to levy special assessments in order to provide funds for the purpose of the district.

Membership Requirements

  • Five members are appointed by seats created within the Fire District;
  • Terms are for four years.
