Health Council of West Central Florida
Purpose
The purpose of the Health Council is to collaborate with community partners to identify, address, and resolve health care issues of local concern. The Health Council pursues that purpose through education initiatives, health care planning, and service delivery.
Meeting Requirements
The Council consists of twelve members. Manatee County appoints two members:
- One position is for a representative who is a health care consumer over the age of sixty and the other position is for a representative who is a non-governmental health care consumer;
- Members must be a resident of Manatee County;
- Terms are for two years.
Meetings
The Council meets the second Wednesday of alternating months at 12:00 p.m. at the Health Council offices located at 9600 Koger Boulevard, St. Petersburg, Florida.
