Code Enforcement Board
Purpose
The Code Enforcement Board (CEB) shall have the jurisdiction and authority to hear and decide alleged violations of the Land Development Code (LDC). The CEB shall also have such other enforcement responsibilities as specified by any other Code or Ordinance of Manatee County or as may be assigned by a resolution of the Board of County Commissioners. The CEB shall issue written orders regarding all decisions.
Membership Requirements
- The CEB consists of seven (7) voting members, and two alternate members;
- The members are appointed by the BCC for one to three year terms, initially and three-year terms thereafter;
- Members of the CEB shall be qualified electors in Manatee County who have experience or interest in the subject matter under the jurisdiction of the CEB;
- The CEB, whenever possible, shall include an architect, a business person, an engineer, a general contractor, a subcontractor, and a realtor.
Meetings
Meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month at 9:00 a.m. at the Manatee County Administration Center, 1112 Manatee Avenue West, Bradenton, FL, in the Chambers.
