Infrastructure Engineering oversees engineering, Computer-Aided Design (CAD) operations, design, plans review and permitting. The division also supports field maintenance traffic engineering and stormwater. [more]
The Infrastructure Inspections Division is the arm of Public Works that inspects commercial and development projects, including vehicle access for all commercial projects. Infrastructure Inspections also inspects the horizontal construction aspects of all County projects. [more]
We provide for the protection of the public through the review of building plans to ensure compliance with adopted codes and standards by reviewing plans for conformance with County codes, investigating complaints of unlicensed construction activity and maintaining County Building and Construction Codes in conformance with state requirements and county needs. This section oversees the permitting of all construction activity within public rights-of-way. All telephone, electricity, cable television, gas and other private-sector operations must apply for a Right-of-Way Use Permit. Additionally we regulate over-sized vehicle permits. Approximately 225 Right-of-Way Use Permits are processed annually. [more]
